Thank you to INFO Simcoe at Rogers TV for helping us share our message!

The 27th Annual Golf for Kids’ Sake event is around the bend! Taking place at Settlers’ Ghost Golf Club this event is hosted on Friday, August 26, 2022, with an 8:30 am shotgun start. Your registration into the tournament includes 18 holes, a power cart, lunch, giveaways, prizes, raffles, and more!

The purpose of the event is to help raise needed funds. Of which 100% of the proceeds go to supporting youth in your community through our community and school-based mentoring programs.

The guiding vision of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District (BBBSOD) is for all young people to realize their full potential. It is our mission to enable life-changing relationships. These relationships help to mitigate the societal barriers and adversities that children and youth face. We facilitate these positive mentoring relationships by providing free direct service to youth and families who are seeking a mentor.

Established in November 1966, BBBSOD enables positive mentoring relationships within Orillia and the surrounding communities. For more than 50 years, these free direct services have been offered to the City of Orillia, Townships of Ramara, Severn, and Oro-Medonte, and to the Chippewas of Rama First Nations community. BBBSOD is recognized as a leader in children and youth programming.

Can you help us? We are looking for donations to be used in raffles, and prize baskets for attendees. Sponsorship opportunities are also available and will help support this fundraising event.

BBBSOD offers both community and school-based programs. Community-based programs include one-on-one mentoring, as well as group programs offered to mentees on our waitlist. Through an MOU with our local school board, our volunteers provide one-on-one mentoring, and facilitate group programs, Game On and Go Girls which encourage healthy living skills.
