The fourth annual Man Cave Tour in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia attracted more than 80 people to private tours of six unique man caves.
This is a “third-party” event that is organized by local business people including Mike Davenport, David Tunstall, Scott Daly, Mark Rousseau, Kevin Wood, Ewan Winter, Mike Sirdevan and Matt Vandewiel.
Food and beverage sponsors included Brewery Bay, Copperpot Nuts, Lake Country Grill, Domino’s Pizza, Era 67, Momma Mari’s in addition to breweries from across the region.
“As an agency that relies 100% on the support of our community, the proceeds from this event ensure that we are able to continue to provide the much-needed mentoring programs to children and youth with Orillia and surrounding areas,” said Amanda Tevelde, community relations co-ordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District
“There are many ways that our community supports our programs,” said Tevelde. “In order to provide the level of programs the community has come to expect from our agency we not only have a large number of volunteers who invest their time with the children we serve, but we also have individuals like the Man Cave committee who host events with BBBS as being the beneficiary of the proceeds.”
