The Sharing Place Food Centre
The Sharing Place Food Centre provides food assistance through the Food Bank Program. The Food Bank provides a six-day supply of healthy food once a month to families and individuals who identify as food insecure. They source as much fresh and healthy food as resources allow to increase access to nutritious food for all. They also strive to create a diverse set of programs that connect the community to food.

The Lighthouse has a specific Youth Support program in which they provide outreach and emergency shelter in a safe and separate wing from the rest of the facility. The Youth Outreach program focuses on reaching at-risk youth in the community, offering essential support and resources to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Youth Haven provides youth experiencing homelessness and at-risk youth between the ages of 16-24 with the love, support, guidance, programs and life skills needed to foster their sense of well-being and security. As Simcoe County’s only emergency shelter for youth experiencing homelessness, Youth Haven also provides outreach services and programs to at-risk youth in Barrie, Orillia, Midland, southern Georgian Bay and south Simcoe. You don’t need to be staying with them to access their services. They provide additional programs for transitional housing, counselling, life skills, case management, job readiness, and more.
