EarlyON Child and Family Centre Simcoe North

EarlyON Child and Family Centre Simcoe North offers programs for parents and caregivers of children prenatal to six years of age which can assist in their parenting or caregiver role. All sites provide access to play and inquiry-based learning, information on child development, parent education, early learning activities, referrals to community resources, nutrition information and pre- and post-natal resources.

The Orillia Youth Centre is a safe and supervised space for all youth ages 11-17. Youth can come "hang-out" at the Youth Centre, get involved in programs, or do their own self-directed activities.

The Orillia Public Library offers a variety of youth and family events and programs for children and families.

New Path offers a range of mental health services for children, youth, families and caregivers in English and en français. They will work with you to answer your questions, guide you through the services that are available, and match you with support in the community that best meets your needs.

CMHA Simcoe County provides support for mental health, addiction, and other community resources. They have a 24/7 Crisis Line for anyone seeking immediate crisis support 1-888-893-8333. They also offer system navigation for individuals looking for assistance with finding community resources or submitting referrals to access CMHA SCB services and programs.

The Sharing Place Food Centre

The Sharing Place Food Centre provides food assistance through the Food Bank Program. The Food Bank provides a six-day supply of healthy food once a month to families and individuals who identify as food insecure. They source as much fresh and healthy food as resources allow to increase access to nutritious food for all. They also strive to create a diverse set of programs that connect the community to food.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse has a specific Youth Support program in which they provide outreach and emergency shelter in a safe and separate wing from the rest of the facility. The Youth Outreach program focuses on reaching at-risk youth in the community, offering essential support and resources to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Youth Haven

Youth Haven provides youth experiencing homelessness and at-risk youth between the ages of 16-24 with the love, support, guidance, programs and life skills needed to foster their sense of well-being and security. As Simcoe County’s only emergency shelter for youth experiencing homelessness, Youth Haven also provides outreach services and programs to at-risk youth in Barrie, Orillia, Midland, southern Georgian Bay and south Simcoe. You don’t need to be staying with them to access their services. They provide additional programs for transitional housing, counselling, life skills, case management, job readiness, and more.

Green Haven Women’s Shelter

Green Haven Shelter for Women provides safety, shelter, and meaningful alternatives for individuals who experience gender-based violence and abuse to support a foundation for change and opportunities for the future. Their services and programs offer shelter access, community outreach services, child and youth support, ongoing advocacy, educational resources, and so much more.

Gilbert Centre

The Gilbert Centre provides social and support services to empower, promote health, and celebrate the lives of people living with and affected by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI) and the individuals and families from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) communities of Simcoe Muskoka.

Is a multi-service Indigenous Child Well-Being Agency that provides a stable foundation for children, youth, and families, through wraparound services that are culturally based and family-focused. They are proud to offer services including: coordinated service planning/urgent response, circle facilitation, youth justice, mental health and wellness, family services, and more.

ONWG strengthens and supports the wellbeing of Indigenous women and their families by creating a safe space for community to engage, connect, heal and preserve Indigenous knowledge, culture, and traditions. They have a variety of programs, services, and events that can be found on their website.

Enaahtig Healing Lodge and Learning Centre embraces Indigenous ancestral ways of well-being to support balanced communities and Nations for present and future generations through inclusive services with a focus on holistic healing, wellness, and Indigenous culture. The scheduling of Enaahtig Healing Lodge and Learning Centre programs and services is based on calendar quarters that coincide with the natural rhythm of the four seasons.
