Bowl for Kids’ Sake: Facebook Live Stream!!!

BOWL FOR KIDS SAKE IS BACK!

With a new virtual bowl.

We are recreating the magic of Bowl for Kids Sake online!

Join us for a Live steam on Facebook, Thursday May 28^th, 7-9pm. We will have a number of prizes and some musical entertainment. Possibly even surprise judges.

As you reach the end of your game make sure to screen shot your score. It doesn’t save the game.

Post it on Facebook and tag Big Brothers Big Sisters Orillia. We will keep the scores and announces the winners at the end of our Live Broadcast Thursday, May 28^th.

For your pledges:

• • Leading up to May 28th you can collect pledges from family and friends across the globe with our online fundraising platform (right here:  https://www.simplyk.io/donation/5e61945b05b7340028bb50c1/lang/en)
  • If you have a paper pledge sheet already filled out you can submit it two ways: Take a picture of your pledge sheet and send an e-transfer of your total pledges to events@bbbsorillia.ca OR drop off your donations and pledge sheet to our office at 17 Colbourne St E. No later than 4pm, Thurs, May 28^th.
  • Submit your pledges before 4pm May 28th to be entered to draws announced during the Facebook Live stream!

On May 23rd

• • Get your alley set up and your crazy hat on and tag us in a picture of you and your family to enter our Best Hat and Alley prizes!
  • Bowl online with the “Classic Bowling Game” (https://www.bbbsmi.org/VBOWLING/) and screen shot your final score to be entered to win a AGO pass for 4 or a Team prize pack including a team play pass at Coldwater Bowl, and Barrie Paintball passes (See video for details on how to play and do a screen shot.)
  • Take a video of you and your family “Backyard Bowling” bowling with unconventional things in your yard / house, submit it to us by the end of May 27rd to be entered to win a Team pass for Coldwater Bowl!
  • Watch our Facebook page from 7-9pm Thursday, May 28th for draws, shout outs and prizes, and musical entertainment from Cheryl Hill of Charlotte and the Dirty Cowboys.

Bowl for Kids Sake is a FUN way to make an impact on the lives of children and youth right here in Orillia and District!

A fun event where children, families, co-workers, businesses and the community come together to raise funds and celebrate the importance of mentoring.  Form a team, collect pledges and bowl online….it is that simple!

This year we are coming together (virtually) to celebrate our 40th Anniversary in Pictou County – and we are doing it in STYLE! Create a home/backyard alley, and your craziest hat! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Your Task: Raise money to ignite the full potential of Orillia and District kids!

Impact: When a child has a mentor, the odds they will be emotionally, socially & physically healthy increases dramatically…and when we have healthy young people in our communities, everyone benefits. #BiggerTogether #IgnitePotential

Creating a new mentoring match costs roughly $1750. If everyone on your team raises $150, your team could raise more than half the cost of a match. Aim for the $250 level, and you could be Matchmakers!

Since money invested in BBBS programs generates an average social return on investment of $23 for every dollar invested, the money you raise will have huge impact in our community.

Get our your party hats, Bristol board, ribbons, paper towel rolls, glue, scissors, and paint. Have fun spending time with your family creating the alley and hats. Then join us for the party!
