Updated March 29th, 2022.

Ontario has begun lifting COVID restrictions, but we are holding tight

Effective March 21st all capacity limits for indoor and outdoor settings were lifted, proof of vaccination is no longer required, and the guidelines for isolation were revised to be less stringent based on vaccination status. Additionally, all masking requirements were lifted in all settings except in public transportation, healthcare, long-term care and other congregate settings. Although public safety measures have been lifted, we are still living in unstable times and the safety of our children and families remains of utmost importance. Until further notice, we are holding tight on our COVIDvaccination policies and guidelines. If you have questions about what this means in relation to your match, please reach out to your Mentoring Coordinator.

Please continue to self-monitor and do not meet or attend the office if you are feeling unwell. We will continue to abide by public health measures that can be found here.

Please note: If you are visiting the office and prefer staff wear a mask during your visit please let us know and we would be happy to accommodate.

The province has moved into a “modified Step 2 of the Roadmap to Reopen” – matches can still meet indoors with limitations

Effective January 5, and only if you feel comfortable, matches are still permitted to meet indoors as long as no more than five people are gathering and everyone is able to stay two metres apart during the visit.

Rides in cars are also still permitted as long as everyone in the vehicle is wearing a mask.

Whether indoors or out, masks are required when you are not able to stay two meters apart.

This change is in accordance with the announcement made by the Ontario government on January 3. Details can be found here.

The province has moved into Step 3 – matches can continue to meet in person

Our province has moved into Step 3 of the Roadmap to Reopen, which means you can continue to meet in person (only if you feel comfortable) and you can enjoy more options now that up to 25 people can gather indoors and up to 100 outdoors. Things like…dining in restaurants and going to museums and festivals.

Our masking and physical distancing guidelines remain unchanged regardless if people are fully vaccinated or not. This means that whether you are indoors or out, masks are required when you are not able to stay two meters apart (therefore, in cars).

We hope you have a great summer!

The province has moved into Step 2 – matches can meet indoors again.

Effective today, and only if you feel comfortable, matches are permitted to meet indoors as long as no more than five people are gathering and everyone is able to stay two metres apart during the visit.

Rides in cars are also now permitted as long as everyone in the vehicle is wearing a mask.

Whether indoors or out, masks are required when you are not able to stay two meters apart.

This change is in accordance with Step 2 of the Ontario government’s three-step Roadmap to Reopen. Step 2 also allows for most of the summer activities you like to do (with restrictions).

Happy summer!

The province’s stay-at-home order has been lifted – matches can meet in person again!

After a long wait, the provincial stay-at-home order has been lifted! Effective today, matches can begin to meet in person as long as you remain outdoors, keep two metres apart, and wear a mask when keeping two meters apart is not possible. Unfortunately, this means no riding in cars together.

We are keeping a close eye on the Ontario government’s three-step Roadmap to Reopen and will continue to keep you updated through our website and email.  In the meantime, please reach out to your mentoring coordinator if you have any questions at all. Your health and safety is our highest priority – always.

**If you are going to meet in person you must submit a signed waiver and have approval from your Mentoring Coordinator. If both Big and Little have already completed their waivers and previously gotten the go-ahead from your Mentoring Coordinator, you can proceed with in-person visits.**
